Clinical Scales in Aneurysm Rupture Prediction

چکیده
The rate of incidentally discovered unruptured intracranial aneurysms has increased with the broad availability neuroimaging. determination risk rupture brain is challenging. Several clinical scales for aneurysm prediction have been developed. most common are PHASES, ELAPSS, and UIATS. These not routinely used in practice due to inherent shortcomings. In this review, we analyze factors generating these performance studies. We also discuss new potential biomarkers tools predict rupture.

Prediction of Cerebral Aneurysm Rupture Using Hemodynamic, Morphologic and Clinical Features: A Data Mining Approach
Cerebral aneurysms pose a major clinical threat and the current practice upon diagnosis is a complex, lengthy, and costly, multicriteria analysis, which to date is not fully understood. This paper reports the development of several classifiers predicting whether a given clinical case is likely to rupture taking into account available information of the patient and characteristics of the aneurys...
متن کاملBiomechanical prediction of abdominal aortic aneurysm rupture risk: Sensitivity analysis
Objectives: The purpose of this research is to determine the quantitative relationship between the peak wall stress of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) and its clinical risk factors including its maximum diameter, asymmetry index, wall thickness and abnormal high blood pressure. Methods: The response surface experimental design with one response and four variables was used to design the experime...
متن کاملPrediction of outcome after abdominal aortic aneurysm rupture.
BACKGROUND Most vascular surgeons practice a selective policy of operative intervention for patients with ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). The evidence on which to justify operative selection remains uncertain. This review examines the prediction of outcome after attempted open repair of ruptured AAA. METHODS The Medline and EMBASE databases and Cochrane Database of Systematic Review...
متن کاملIntraprocedure aneurysm rupture in embolization: clinical outcome with imaging correlation.
BACKGROUND Intraprocedural aneurysm rupture (IPAR) is the most feared complication of embolization for intracranial aneurysms. Here we report the immediate and long-term imaging outcomes of IPAR during embolization and the correlation with clinical outcomes. METHODS Of the 376 consecutive patients harboring 412 intracranial aneurysms who had underwent endovascular coil embolizations in the pa...
متن کاملOutcome of In-Hospital Rebleeding and Early Aneurysm Rupture at the Referral Center
Background and Aim: In-hospital rebleeding and early aneurysm rupture are major causes of mortality and morbidity in aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. Rebleeding may occur at the referring hospital, during transfer or at the referral neurovascular center prior to surgical or endovascular treatment. However, there has been no report regarding the rate of in-hospital rebleeding and early aneury...
